Oven Refurbishment & Modifications

Plan renewal of oven floors, baking chambers, doors and insulation, with flue and component modifications coordinated into a defined refurbishment package.

Define the improvement. Plan the refurbishment.

Refurbishment starts with the condition of the oven and the operating problem to address. BOS brings surveys, fabrication and specialist engineering together for work ranging from floor and access-door repairs to re-insulation, baking-chamber refurbishment and flue modifications. Priorities, component requirements and the sequence of work are developed around the production window.

Floors, hearths & concrete bases

  • Repair, re-cementing or renewal of existing oven floors and hearths.
  • Relevant refractory and baking-chamber lining work specified for the oven and its operating conditions.
  • Assessment and remediation of a concrete base beneath an oven treated as a separate engineering task.

Doors, insulation & baking chambers

  • Re-insulation and renewal of damaged oven insulation systems.
  • Refurbishment or replacement of cleanout and access doors, frames, liners, panels, covers and seals.
  • Baking-chamber and oven-fabric repairs developed from the condition survey.

Flue & component modifications

  • Alterations to flues, ductwork, dampers, access arrangements and associated assemblies.
  • Defined modifications to address an identified operating problem, equipment defect or safety concern.
  • Fabrication, mechanical work and affected specialist systems sequenced within the refurbishment plan.

An oven floor, refractory lining and load-bearing concrete base beneath the oven are different tasks, each requiring its own technical assessment and repair specification.

What your team receives

Your team can compare defined repair and refurbishment options, prepare a project allowance and coordinate the work within a planned shutdown. BOS brings the components and engineering disciplines into one package.

  • A refurbishment or modification proposal tied to condition, priorities and the technical requirement.
  • A coordinated work package covering fabrication, specialist resources and site interfaces.
  • Records of work carried out, relevant checks and remaining maintenance actions.

How BOS brings it together

Engineering work, clearly organised.

01 / ASSESS

Findings become work priorities.

We review equipment condition, reported symptoms, operator observations and maintenance records. Findings become a defined list of tasks, priorities and any further investigation needed.

02 / COORDINATE

Prepare the job before attendance.

BOS brings the work, people, parts and access into one plan. Allowing for component lead times and production windows helps your team organise the work and understand the likely commitments.

03 / RECORD

Close the loop after the work.

Work completed, inspection findings and specialist returns feed back into the equipment record. Outstanding defects stay visible, with recurring problems and follow-up priorities reviewed for the next visit.

Prepared for the equipment.

Competent people and reviewed methods support each task. Cooling, access, isolation, permits and handback are planned with your team. Where confined-space entry may be required, the assessment and specialist arrangements are established before work starts.
